PlantMap 3D

The PlantMap 3D systems are inexpensive camera systems that are used to map the species, biomass, and densities of weeds, cover crops, and cash crops. These programs use off-the-shelf cameras, such as GoPro video cameras and OAK-D (Luxonis) stereo and RGB cameras, which are either hand-held, mounted onto the tractor, or placed across large spray-booms. This technology is being used by weed scientists and on-farm research networks across the US.
